The Plea of a Snake
.: The Plea of a Snake :.
When I was born
A great weight of guilt
Sinful and forlorn
On top of me was built.
By the great wrongdoing
Of my once-glorified ancestor.
With lies and wooing,
They deceived another to fester.
Lord, Forgive me oh Lord,
I deserve death by sword,
This I know and this I shall sorrowfully accept
But know at least, oh Lord, for shame I wept.
The sin that brought down the world.
The sin that brought chaos unfurled,
I am a snake,
And this I take;
For I inherited the sin of my parent,
Of something I never did.
I eat dust, and it is painfully apparent,
I'd be dead had I not hid...
When their sons came to smash my head.
Yet please forgive me, oh Lord!
My shame for my kind weighs on me like lead,
My own deep debt I cannot afford...
Lord, Forgive me oh Lord,
I deserve death by sword,
This I know and this I shall sorrowfully accept
But know at least, oh Lord, for shame I wept.
The debt that I inherited,
The punishment merited,
Giving to me by my birth rite as a serpent.

.: Pressure :.
I'm under pressure.
There's something massive, talon'd feet,
Stepping on my small soft throat.
The earth is being torn away sheet by sheet,
From beneath me, and I'll note
The questionable stability of my tower.
This weight upon me is choking out my feeble voice
I feel forced, I feel under other's power...
Even if not by them, I feel derived of my own choice,
I'm under pressure.
A bell ringing in the distance far,
Rang loud as I thought it was prophesied,
To dig for myself, within the tar
To find truth for myself, to myself have realized
What it is that I want and need.
But they tell me I don't know, that I could never dig enough
Without making my paws bleed.
And with good intentions I do need to wonder, is it a bluff?
I'm under pressure.
And I want to follow my Lord's will,
But it's hard to see in the darkness down here
At the bottom of the ocean so chill
Where false lights are plenty and teeth sear.
The weight of all the water above me
Is immense, pressing down on my he

The Camel
.: The Camel :.
There is a traveler, far away,
In a distant desert, they say,
One whom towers above  all things to walk upon four,
The only one not devoured by black vultures a'soar...
His his neck leans low, his legs are lanky and long,
His form is awkward, by some he was deemed wrong.
His rumbling bellow drove so many a far distance,
His tries at friendship they returned with resistance.
So the traveler, strange and unknown,
Took with him, his alien rumble and groan,
Deep into the endless rolling ocean of sand.
A place of death for many, abandoned land.
In his loneliness and endless trek he did come to find,
A desert scorpion, who lied to claim itself to be blind.
That it could be the creature's friend,
That their bond would last to the end.
Yet when the end did come, of their interactions,
The creature found the scorpion hiding fractions
Of gems he located, under the creature's shining saddle.
He had been used for smuggling as so, told never to tattle.
Least he 'betrayed' his f

A world of Caverns and Sunshine
.: A world of Caverns and Sunshine :.
I learned something not long ago.
And I think it's something to show.
I realized, this world, has caverns, deep and dark.
Winding beneath the surface and earth's bark.
I realized, that sometimes, we blunder
Down into the abyssal depths asunder,
Lost, we no longer see the light of the sun
And below the surface, it's existence we shun.
We say, 'I cannot see the sun, therefore it is not there!'
Or when we walk upon the land in the sol's warm care,
We say, 'I cannot see the caverns, therefore they do not exist!'
But it is alike to the other, the same blindness in which persist.
Just because we cannot see the sun's light,
Doesn't mean it's not at the greatest height,
Giving it's loving ray to the surface of the bright world,
Yet it does not reach the caverns with warmth unfurled.
Just because we do not see the caverns below,
Does not mean that they don't have abyssal flow
Through our earth beneath, a depressing labyrinth,
That people don't suffer below,

Fragility
.: Fragility :.
At the thunder of the planet by night,
It was born, as shards of rock splintered
From the core, piercing both light,
And the surface of the abyss unhindered.
They broke the top and spewed fire.
It's fury was for all to behold.
It spat molten pride and rage without tire,
Until it's wrath dried cold.
The resent left a newborn land,
Of harsh stone and sharpened rock.
It still smoked from the cooled rage.
From ash whenst we came,
And to ash we shall return.
Upon the obsidian surface,
The ocean lapped in desperation...
It soothed with slow pace,
The volcano's wild exasperation.
Plants, birds, small creatures of docile life,
Came to settle the land of softened rock.
As beautiful diversity was created of old strife.
And upon the paradise nature did walk.
The land became fertile and gave forth,
As many forms of beast did find joy,
And raise their young well.
From the earth whenst we came,
And to the earth we shall return.
However as no things seem to last,
Upon our broken world

So now I am certain - I can't take it.

In this heavy existence, dark eruption, chaos-ridden,
Too much noise, too much vibration, touch forbidden.

I can't take it, block it out!
I hear every word you shout
I'm craving unconsciousness, my ears bleed.

Too many signals to my fragile brain,
I simply can't stay truthfully sane...
Under all this pressure.

As time flows on,
We were left behind.
The world saw dawn,
But not for our kind.
You continued without us -
No, you dragged us down.
Afterwards you made a fuss
Of how we were a clown.
Clowns, clumsy and fat,
Who couldn't defend themselves for their own lives,
Against this here or that,
That we slew ourselves, wiping the guilt off your knives.
If you could bring us back,
Could you?
Insolent and naive, you have soiled
What was left of our name, spoiled
What elegance we had to our own.
All that remains of our kind is bone.
With none left to prove or testify
With none left to give slight justify,
As to what it is we truly were...
Our image left in a distorted blur.
We are the voice of the dead.
You etched upon our head
The symbol of the dumb and obsolete.
And from the earth, you then did delete...
If you could bring us back,
Should you?
Our presence.
Leaving us nothing but a reputation same
As idiotic peasants
Relieving yourself of your condemning blame.

I really liked this one! But at first I thought he was in a forest fire. Pros: Those bands on his legs... Amazing. The lighting and all...

I'm actually going to try to put the World of Soap comics in my scraps. Though I do have the story in mind, and would like to continue it someday, I also notice it sorta makes it hard to look around the gallery, since it's half of what I've drawn.

You can still watch the scraps, since, I rarely put anything directly into it, but rather, move things there later. So, it shouldn't be any different than normal watching, if you want to see the next WoS when it comes out.

Antarctica
I do not really live in Antarctica, and I have a gender; I just don't want my gender obvious nor my location.

Besides that, my specialty is varied, but not to an extreme extent. And I am not the perfect artist, by all means. But, I specialize, at least I think, in literature, and probably one to two other things. Drawing is something I think I'm probably good at, whether it's a sketch or digital art. I draw mainly animals, but sometimes humans too.

If you want to know more about me, maybe look at some of my work? I tend to talk a lot in the descriptions of that which I submit here.

I'm also very fond of chickens, and keep 2 as my beloved pets.

Nah, no Vodka for me.  I can't stand alcoholic stuff for some reason, they all taste so bitter to me.

My family likes a certain guinness beer shake made with icecream and stuff... If my own shake is made in the same blender, the trace amount of beer shake left, I can taste the alcohol, and I won't want the shake.

Salutations. Honestly, I fail a bit at being active on here, or have been as of late. I'll probably wake up again soon, in any degree. Just as a forewarning.

Nice to see ya - Your user. You know of the species of wolf that lived naturally in Texas? Red Wolves?

Well, some of our ancestors - I mean, some people have native American decent, or are immigrants. For my own family - Immigrants from other countries and states, and native Americans, is the lot of us. To say, - provided you're not of completely European descent - some ancestors did, and some ancestors did not, send them to extinction.
But true to say as a general rule, when the Europeans came to the Americas, they started annihilating every wolf they came across. Part way prejudice against a species, and the other part, protection of livestock. Primarily prejudice, however, as it is clearly seen that with proper distances kept, we can have our wolves AND our livestock... As well as not hunting the wolves' main prey ourselves.

Red wolves were killed off more quickly than the other species, due to lack of places to go - Fewer mountain ranges or land that can't be used for farm or livestock, mean't more human settling, and no where to hide. Grey wolves were more capable of retreating to cold arctic areas where men did not yet settle, or mountains with terrain too rough for anyone to bother following them for long.
A secondary killer of the Red-wolves was their close resemblance to coyotes. Though their behavior varied greatly (Red wolves being, of course, wolves, and thus, an animal that hunts in packs, where as coyotes hunt alone but meet as families on occasion), appearance-wise, red wolves and coyotes weren't quite as different. Though still different, their size, pelt color, and general facial features, were more coyote-like than that of most wolves. Henceforth, when their numbers started to decline, when they were less red wolves - Individuals started looking to start their families with coyotes, due to being unable to find another of their own kind. Having the wolf-genes mix with the coyote genes was a near disaster, as it mean't there would soon be no more pure-bred wolves, and as people kept killing the wolves off, the coyote percentage would slowly 'water down' the wolf percent of genes in any individual. To say, it would go from half-wolf, to quarter-wolf, 1/8th wolf, 1/16th wolf... Until the wolfblood would be 'watered down' to such a faint presence that it might as well just be a coyote, not a wolf.

Fortunately we managed to save our wolves from this fate, however they only live on a very small reserve now, I believe. Redwolves originally ranged all over the southern USA and Mexico.   Not any more, and they no longer live in Texas at all. The reserve is somewhere else.
There was, at one point, only 14 pure-bred Red wolves in existence.

Ironically, people didn't attack the coyotes quite as ferociously, despite the fact that they posed the same threat to their livestock. The difference was the prejudice towards wolves... These days, mankind is much more accepting of wolves, some even adoring them. Some so much that I hear some people complain about all the 'wolfaboos' running around. Personally, I don't think you can like any animal too much, just as long as you don't see other animals as inferior in the process.
Perceiving animals as overly aggressive is one form of animal stereotype that can clearly cause harm, but another is seeing an animal as exceptionally weak or dumb.

Er... I've said a lot in response to something much smaller, so I'll speak about the effects of other forms of animal prejudice after I hear (listen and respond to as well) to your next reply. ^^' So you can get a word in and all.

No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,  that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.  But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.

(Jesus said this to Nicodemus and the Holy Spirit moved John to record it in his gospel. The reference is John 3:13-21)

Now to give you a bit more insight into what God is saying here, because we know assuredly that what Jesus said that is recorded in the Bible (as well as what His Spirit moved His chosen prophets and apostles to write) are the Words of God. The word for “believe” in the Greek is pisteuō which means “I.to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in.” And we know from James that belief is not mere mental assent. For example, even the demons confessed that Jesus was the Son of God and knew that it was true, but that doesn’t mean they have everlasting life. For “faith without works is dead.” (James 2:14-26) The angels who do have everlasting life are those who “excel in strength” and who “do His Word, heeding the voice of His Word.” (Psalm 103:20) James also said that we, likewise, are to be “doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves.” (James 1:22) So we cannot stop at just believing that it is true what God said, though it is true, and some people take a while to even come to that conclusion, calling the Bible “a book of myths” or “a book of lies.” But that is not enough to save us, we also must do what God said to do in His Word, “purifying our souls through obeying the truth”, as Peter said in 1 Peter 2:2, or even as Jesus says here, we must be those who “do the truth, that our deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” As for the angels that sinned, Peter points out in 2 Peter 2:4 that “God did not spare them, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment.” This is also the fate of unrepentant sinners, and of those who “turn from the holy commandment delivered to them” (1 Peter 2:21.) So I am just writing these things to you in case you didn’t know them, that you could repent of your sin, and start walking in accordance with God’s Word, because that would be of eternal profit and value to you.

With all the love that is in Christ Jesus, and with full faith and assurance in His Word,

Tiffany.

I was shocked at how random this came about. But I'm glad it did.

But to reassure you, I'm quite aware of this. I am christian as well. I suppose it's nice to see some scripture and stuff, though. Lots of chaos has been happening in my life... So I've been trying to do a lot more prayer and stuff.
I do intend quite well, to follow God's will. I don't even actually care if he takes me to heaven or not, I just want to do his will, and I want to follow him. But, I mean - No one can deny, heaven sounds better than heck. Still, however; if I was doomed to the nether, I'd still try to do God's will.

A word of advice, however, that might save you from future pain - Non-religious people will get angry and argue, if you walk up and talk to them about this stuff... Please, believe me, I know - I learned the hard way.
As saint Francis said, always preach the gospel; If necessary, use words.
That means, preach the gospel by living a life of God. It means setting an example for others, of what God is, which is Love. It means, simply be people's friend, listen to them, care for them no matter whether they are unkind or give back the kindness, just be a companion... And then, if they come to you - if they ask you - then that's your opportunity to preach with words.

Talking to people about religion, who don't want to hear it, only gives religion a bad name, sadly.

But thank you,  for this. The scriptures and stuff.
